These terms and conditions apply to all competitions run by Hereward Gold, operated by Hereward Hub Limited (“the Company”). By entering any competition, you agree to be bound by the following terms.
1.2. - By entering a Competition, you confirm that you accept these Terms and any specific instructions or rules relating to the Competition or prize.
1.3. - If your entry involves additional participants (such as guests), you must ensure they are aware of and agree to these Terms.
1.4. - The Company accepts no liability for competitions operated on behalf of third parties or sponsors, except where liability cannot legally be excluded (such as death or personal injury caused by negligence).
1.5. - If the Company believes that fraud, deceit, or any action that may negatively affect the Competition has occurred, it reserves the right to disqualify an entrant or remove them from the Competition without notice.
1.6. - Entrants must comply with all reasonable instructions from the Company, its employees, or its representatives in connection with the Competition.
2.2. - Employees, volunteers, members of the Company, their immediate families, press, agencies, or anyone directly connected with the Competition are not eligible to enter.
2.3. - Entrants must be 18 years or older unless the Competition states otherwise. Proof of age may be required.
3.2. - Entrants must take reasonable care for their own health and safety. The Company may disqualify any participant whose behaviour poses a safety risk.
3.3. - All activities undertaken as part of a Competition are done at your own risk. You must inform the Company of any medical condition that could affect participation.
3.4. - Illegal substances are strictly prohibited. Alcohol may only be consumed with the approval of the Company or its representatives.
3.5. - Participants must follow all safety instructions given by the Company. Failure to do so may result in immediate disqualification.
4.2. - The Company may disqualify entrants who breach these Terms or behave in an inappropriate manner.
4.3. - Entrants must follow all Competition instructions. Failure to do so may result in disqualification.
4.4. - Entries that are incomplete, illegible, or incorrectly submitted may be deemed invalid.
4.5. - The Company is not responsible for entries that are lost, delayed, damaged, or not received.
4.6. - The Company’s question sources and answers will be considered correct and final.
4.7. - Late entries may not be accepted.
4.8. - Where a Competition involves a prize draw, the first valid entry randomly drawn will be the winner.
4.9. - The Company’s decision in all matters relating to Competitions is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
4.10. - The Company may cancel or suspend a Competition at any time if necessary, including via on-air announcement or website notice.
4.11. - If a Competition is cancelled after valid entries have been received, the Company may offer an alternative prize at its discretion.
4.12. - For “Register to Play” competitions, listeners must call during the specified registration period. A selected caller will be phoned back. If they do not answer within 60 seconds, another entrant may be selected.
4.13. - Winners must claim or collect their prize within 3 months of being notified.
5.2. - Text entry will only be available where clearly stated on-air.
5.3. - Entries must be sent to the shortcode advertised during the Competition.
5.4. - Incorrect, incomplete, or misspelled text entries may be invalid.
5.5. - Text messages may be charged at a premium rate plus your standard network rate. Charges vary depending on your provider.
5.6. - Charges will appear on your mobile phone bill through your network provider.
5.7. - Each text entry will be charged individually.
6.2. - If fraud or false information is discovered, the prize claim will be invalid.
6.3. - If a prize has already been issued and fraud is later discovered, the winner must return the prize or provide compensation.
7.2. - The Company reserves the right to substitute a prize with another of equal or greater value if necessary.
7.3. - The Company is not responsible for prizes lost or damaged in the post.
8.2. - Holiday prizes are subject to availability and are non-transferable.
8.3. - Winners must hold a valid UK passport with at least 6 months remaining.
8.4. - If circumstances beyond the Company’s control affect travel arrangements, an alternative prize of equal value may be offered.
8.5. - Holiday prizes must typically be taken within 6 months of the competition date unless stated otherwise.
8.6. - Winners are responsible for complying with all travel requirements, including insurance, visas, and health regulations.
8.7. - Any additional costs not included in the prize (such as meals, transfers, or spending money) are the winner’s responsibility.
10.2. - Winners may not publicly announce their prize without prior permission from the Company.
11.2. - The Company may use winners’ names, voices, images, or recordings for promotional purposes across any media.
11.3. - By entering, you grant the Company permission to use and broadcast any material relating to your participation in the Competition.
12.2. - Entrants confirm that their submissions do not infringe any third-party rights.
12.3. - All rights to the Competition name, format, and content belong to the Company.
13.2. - The Company will not be liable for indirect or consequential losses.
13.3. - If circumstances beyond the Company’s control prevent the Competition from running as planned, the Company will not be liable.
14.2. - No payment is made for participating in a Competition.
14.3. - Online entries are submitted at the entrant’s own risk, as the internet is not a secure medium.
14.4. - These Terms are governed by English law, and any disputes will be handled by the courts of England.
14.5. - If any part of these Terms becomes invalid or unenforceable, the remaining sections will still apply.
14.6. - These Terms represent the entire agreement relating to the Competition.
